The Honeywell Windtronics BTPS6500 Wind Turbine is a highly efficient gearless wind turbine that measures just 1.8 m in diameter and weighs only 84Kg. It produces around 2750 kWh per year depending on height and location. The Turbine's unique blade tip power system and unique multi-stage blades allow the system to react quickly to changes in wind speed.

The unique concept ensures maximum wind energy is captured without the typical noise and vibration associated with traditional wind turbines, it can also be roof mounted, ballast mounted and is visible to birds and bats.

The Turbine also has a vastly increased operating window over traditional turbines with a start-up speed as low as 0.8 m/s, an auto shut off at 17.0 m/s and a 66.0 m/s survival speed. The Honeywell Wind Turbine can additionally be used as an energy recovery system by mounting the turbine over an existing HVAC manifold without any backpressure effects.

1. Test installation at Si Clean Energy Warehouse in Coffs Harbour, two turbines, one grid-connected, and battery charging using an Apollo T80 HV MPPT Charge Controller.

2. Turbine installed over an HVAC manifold to capture energy from exhaust ventilation (the air velocity from the exhaust powers the turbine).

3. Turbine installed on a 12m guyed tower.

4. Commercial ballast mounted roof cluster system, twin turbines per single Aurora inverter, non-penetrating roof fixings.
